As well as being less healthy choices, foods such as cakes, biscuits, pies and pastries also contribute to GHGE associated with our diets, and other impacts on the environment such as water use. Limiting these foods in line with healthy eating guidance can reduce the environmental footprint of diets, especially if such foods are typically consumed in large amounts.
