Description

Bring food education to life in partnership with Food - a fact of life. A conference for primary and secondary food teachers.

The Health and Wellbeing Service at Leeds City Council are delighted to work in partnership with the Food - a fact of life to bring you this exciting and innovative event, following on from the success of the National Food and Nutrition Education Conference that took place in February 2019. This conference will be an opportunity for those teaching food in both primary and secondary settings to come together and gain skills and knowledge to further enhance their expertise, to deliver an effective food education curriculum.

The conference is aimed at trainee, new, non-specialist and experienced teachers and will provide insight into the national food and nutrition issues that impact the lives and education of children and young people. There will be presentations from experts in the fields of nutrition, education, food science, classroom management and cooking. There will be allocated sessions dedicated to teaching pupils in the primary and secondary phases.
