The FFL training courses are open to all teachers (trainee and practising) and teaching assistants that teach food. Training is a mix of free, discounted and paid-for. For a list of the latest courses, click here.
FFL training is delivered by:
- webinars: live online events to support specific areas of food knowledge or classroom practice (recordings will also be available for ‘catch-up’);
- online training courses: longer training courses, where teachers can go through content in their own time, at their own pace;
- practical workshops: small group sessions, focusing on the development of food skills, healthy eating or learning about specific food commodities and food origins;
- conferences: larger face-to-face events, focusing on topical education or curriculum issues, ideal for networking and sharing good practice.
A series of FFL webinars is currently being planned - more details will be available soon!
Due to the on-going situation with regards to COVID-19, the Primary and secondary school Cooking and Nutrition Education conference and exhibition planned for March 2020 was postponed. We hope that the conference will be re-scheduled for July 2021.
